An additional option. A considered decision.

Benefits should earn
their place in your business.

BSIS helps employers evaluate supplemental benefits alongside their existing plans. An additional benefit layer does not replace comprehensive medical coverage.

Any proposed arrangement is evaluated through an employer-specific review. We evaluate eligibility, employee participation, costs, payroll effects, and the current written terms before recommending a next step. Potential savings and take-home-pay effects depend on your circumstances.

BSIS’s target is at least 50 enrolled employees per company. That is our business focus, not a statement of the program’s contractual eligibility rules. Larger organizations are welcome.

Make the case for your team

Different responsibilities.
One informed decision.

Start with the business case.

Understand whether an additional benefit can serve your workforce while improving the economics of your benefits program.

  • Evaluate estimated participation and the employer’s net financial impact.
  • See the benefits, costs, and responsibilities in writing.
  • Bring finance, HR, and your existing advisers into the decision.
Work with the team you trust

Bring your benefits
broker to the table.

Adding a supplemental benefit does not have to begin with replacing your health plan or your existing broker. We welcome a coordinated review with your HR team, broker, payroll provider, and independent advisers.

Confirm how the proposed program fits existing policies, broker arrangements, and administration. Any coverage change should be an explicit decision.

The written review should answer

What is the actual
impact for us?

  1. Benefits: What is covered, and what is excluded?
  2. Economics: What are the premiums, fees, payroll effects, and assumptions?
  3. Participation: Who is eligible and likely to enroll?
  4. Operations: Who handles setup, enrollment, claims, and service?
  5. Review: What should our tax and legal advisers evaluate?

The wider benefits picture

Need group health,
dental, or vision quotes?

BSIS also offers group health, dental, and vision plan quotes. Ask about these on their own or as part of a broader employer benefits review.

You can discuss group coverage on its own or alongside supplemental options. Plan availability and participation requirements vary.

Questions worth asking.

How does BSIS help our company?

Blue Skies Insurance Solutions is an independent broker. We help your team review existing benefits, explore supplemental options, and understand costs and implementation requirements. Contact us for an employer-specific conversation and current written materials.

Can we explore options during the year?

Yes. An employer benefits review can begin during the year. Timing, eligibility, and implementation requirements depend on the solution and your circumstances. Contact BSIS to discuss your options.

Do we have to change our current health, dental, or vision carriers?

The starting point is an additional benefit layer alongside existing coverage. Confirm compatibility with your particular plans and arrangements during the review. Supplemental indemnity benefits do not replace comprehensive medical insurance.

How much could the company and employees save?

We start with an employer-specific review rather than a universal savings promise. The result depends on eligibility, participation, payroll, taxes, premiums, fees, and current program terms. Any illustration should show its assumptions and net effects.

Do you work with companies outside Chicago or above 499 employees?

Yes. BSIS welcomes employer inquiries nationwide, including organizations with 500 or more employees. Our target is at least 50 enrolled participants per company. Product availability and the ability to transact are subject to applicable licensing, appointments, and eligibility.

What should we share at the start?

Your company name, work states, approximate eligible workforce, estimated participation, current benefits, and desired timing. Do not send employee medical records, Social Security numbers, birth dates, payroll files, or a census in an initial inquiry. We will discuss an appropriate way to exchange required documents.

Does a review commit us to enrolling?

No. A review or quote request does not create coverage or an obligation to enroll. Applicable eligibility, application, approval, enrollment, and effective-date requirements still apply.
